Scrapbooking Tools
From scissors to punches, from eyelets to rubber stamps,
scrapbooking tools come in all sizes, shapes, colors, and
capabilities. How many you need is purely up to you.
However, instead of purchasing every new tool as it is
released into the stores, it's sometimes better to wait to
see just how well-supported the tool is.

For
instance, if it's a paper trimmer that will need
replacement blades, find out how easy it is to find those
blades and to replace them. Or if the tool has components
to be replaced after every use, is that something you want
to constantly be purchasing?
Cutting
Tools
Scissors, paper trimmers, craft knives and mats...these
cutting tools make scrapbooking easy, and each as a place
in the process.
Scrapbooking
Punches
Handy, easy to use, and fun to play with, scrapbooking
punches come in all sizes and hundreds of styles. Choosing
the punches you'll use often can be challenging - they're
all so fun!
Scrapbooking
Templates
Talk about useful! I was recently challenged to design some
projects using templates. Even I hadn't realized just how
versatile templates are until I worked with them. Simply
having consistent shapes to trace and cut is a huge
time-saver! But there's so much more to be done with
scrapbooking templates!
Eyelets & Setting
Tools
OK...so I must admit to being a very late bloomer in the
eyelet usage. All that pounding! But once the Crop-A-Dile
came out, using eyelets in scrapbooking became sooooo easy.
It can't get much better than that!
Rubber
Stamps, Clear Stamps, & Ink
Pads
Now that clear stamps are so easy to find, use, and store,
we'll all soon be addicted to them! They're much easier to
place than rubber stamps, and last almost as long. With all
the wonderful designs being produced, soon we'll all be
collecting these stamps. Ink pads vary by the types of
inks, based on how you'll be using them. Certain ink types
are specifically designed for particular surfaces; the
success of a project sometimes depends on the ink type.
Scrapbooking
Glue & Adhesive
'Different strokes for different folks'...adhesives are
more of a personal preference than anything else. There are
certain types for metals and plastics, of course. But
scrapbooking glues need to be acid-free - from there, you
just need to choose the style you like using. We show and
talk about some choices, their uses, and their properties.
Some people love to collect scrapbooking tools - and
there's nothing wrong with that! But organizing and storing
those scrapbooking tools can be problematic at times. Some
tools come with their own storage cases, which is terrific;
sometimes you can find storage cases for specific tools,
too.
If you don't have lots of storage space, it's best to
analyze your needs and the tools' uses a bit before
plunging into purchasing new scrapbooking tools as they hit
the market. However, scrapbooking tools make creating your
album pages and paper crafting projects fun and easy, so
don't miss out on those you'll use all the time!
